The incredible rock houses and underground cities of Cappadocia

Famous for its unique fairy Chimneys and breathtaking hot air ballooning opportunities, the lunar landscapes of Cappadocia are one of Turkey’s most popular touristic destinations.

 

ITINERARY OF THE TOUR

DAY 01: 

You will be picked up in the morning from your hotel in Bodrum around 04:00 am and transfer to Bodrum airport and flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival at Kayseri Airport, our Team will welcome you at the exit gate inside the terminal where you will see our Team holding a sign which is your name on it. The distance between Kayseri and Cappadoccia is 70 km. It takes approximately 45 minutes.

When you arrive in the Cappadocia before checking in hotel you will be visiting the famous Avanos town. If you are interested in pottery Avanos is a center of clay pottery in Turkey. We will visit workshops and even we will try making pottery. After that we will drive to the sights of Paşabağ (Monks Valley) in North Cappadocia is located on the road to Zelve. Pasabag valley contains some of the most interesting fairy chimneys in Cappadocia with twin and triple rock caps.

Before visiting Göreme we will have lunch.

 Goreme Open Air Museum where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements which is constructed hundreds of years ago.İt is an amazing small cave city and a big monastic complex consisted of numerous monasteries.

 After Göreme we will be in the natural picturesque Uchisar Castle. After this unusual lunar landscape, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Cappadocia.

 

OPTIONAL TOUR: TURKISH NIGHT SHOW.

This evening is organized to show you Turkish culture and traditions but also it is an entertaining show to help you relax, after your tour in Cappadocia. You will be picked up from your hotel in the evening and taken to a cave restaurant for an amazing night that you never forget.

 

DAY 02:

OPTIONAL TOUR: CAPPADOCIA HOT AIR BALLOON(Early Morning)

We highly recommend you to join the hot air balloon flight for sunrise this morning before breakfast. If you like to fly with a hot air balloon in this program please give us information earlier.

After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel.

South Cappadocia Tour will begin with a visit to the Red Valley which is famous for the red-rose color of the rocks. Our next visiting point will be Cavusin Village. Cavusin village is very famous for its houses and churches of the Christian Clergymen. The village is also famous for the Church of John the Baptist from the 5th Century. We will take a break for lunch at the local restaurant around noon. After the lunch drive to Pigeon Valley earned its name from the countless man-made dovecotes (Pigeon Houses) that have been carved into the soft volcanic tuff. and after visiting pigeon valley, continue to visit one of the most famous Kaymakli Underground City which has been listed as a part of the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985. its history dates back Hittites and Phrygians Period. Cappadocia has 36 underground cities and the widest one is Kaymakli underground city.

Your Cappadocia Tour will end around 17:00, then you will be taken back to Kayseri Airport. After about 1.5-hour flight, you will be in Bodrum. Our Team will be waiting for you at the Bodrum Airport for your Transfer.
