DAY 1: PAMUKKALE, LAODICEA ,

Visiting the ruins of Hierapolis, Martyrdom of St Philip the Evangelist. Then, Pamukkale Travertines and Laodicea’s ancient city At the end of the tour, overnight in Pamukkale.

DAY 2: SARDIS, PHILADELPHIA, AND THYATIRA

İn the morning visiting Sardes, the ancient capital city of the Lydians, and the visit Church of Sardes

After you will drive to Alasehir where the ancient Philadelphia Church is located.

Then we continue our visit to Thyatira, now called Akhisar, another one of the Seven Churches of Asia. It was a city famous for purple dyes. We visit the remains of a basilica and some architectural fragments from the Roman period. Afterward, you will drive and check in to your hotel in Bergama.

DAY 3 PERGAMON, SMYRNA, AND EPHESUS

We are going to visit the acropolis of Pergamon that was called the throne of Satan and Red Court (St. John’s Church) in the morning. After lunch proceeds to Izmir to visit ancient Smyrna.

 After one hour drive, we will visit ancient Ephesus which is one of the Seven Churches of Revelation.

Visiting the Temple of Hadrian, Domitian’s temple, Hercules gate, Celsus Library, theater, and other Roman sites. You will also visit the House of the Virgin Mary where it is believed to have spent her last years. Paul VI was the first pope to visit this place in the 1960s. Later, in the 1980s, during his visit, Pope John-Paul II declared the Shrine of Virgin Mary as a pilgrimage place for Christians.

Your last visit will be to the Basilica of St. John which was a great church in Ephesus builds by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century. It is constructed over the believed burial site of St. John.
